So... the Easter break is over. Joneleth goes back to Bath (well, actually to Wales to live with a family and their elephant >>;) on Friday, so it'll be the last time we see him for ages on Thursday. I have Metroid Prime: Hunters, Suikoden V, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, and Guilty Gear X2 Slash. I also have lots of new soundtracks, all of the Blame! manga and all of Angel Sanctuary and some random shojo fluff.

The world should be good, and at peace and all that stuff, but for me right now, it isn't. Why, why did I not sleep last night?! My brain is melting quite painfully out of my ears, and my eyes are all deaded. And to think, I had my Psychology mock today... ~_~

I have this massive urge to try and write out the basic plot of my day dreams, and also to try and doodle my characters a little better. Probably by the time I get home, I'll have forgotten about it and I'll just fall asleep. That, or I'll just spend my time looking at random crap on the interweb again.

Anyway, I'ma go now. Psychology awaits etc.

So... I got a C in my psychology exam. While that sounds pretty bad, for me that's actually awesome, so yay!

I'm still obssessing over the Jojo. While I refuse to read VI for continuity's sake, I started on Steel Ball Run yesterday, and now seriously want someone to continue from where Ignition-One left off. Pocoloco is awesome, as is Gyro (Nyo-ho-ho is such a kick-ass laugh XD) and Sandman. :D

Steve is being forced to read Jojo 5, because I'm evil. ^^ But I'm being forced to play through Drakengard 1 (he's just got Drakengard 2), so I guess it's fair. He's currently got up to the whole Man in the Mirror vs. Fugo/Purple Haze, Abbaccio/Moody Blues, and Giorno/Gold Experience fight, so he's sorta catching up. Yay~!

Also, Joe told me yesterday that Null are translating Hana no Keiji (a manga by the guy who drew Fist of the North Star). I'm a sucker for amusing over-the-top violence (hence my fwee-ing over Jojo etc :3), so I am most pleased. Especially since Null do a really good job when it comes to translations - their scans are great quality. :)

Gotta go now. Will hopefully type tomorrow, if I'm still alive. :)

So, I got home yesterday and found that not only does the Jojo Posing School have many photos of people crawling into cupboards, it also has a crap ton of fanart. Decent fanart. :O

So, as you can probably tell, I've gone a little icon happy. I'm have five Jojo icons on this journal (one for each series I've read), and a ton at home that I'll probably post some other time. So now I'm all icon'd and Jojo'd up, which makes me happy. Now all I need is some more Part 5 chapters out... ^^

In other news, the interweb scares me. People who believe that they were VG/anime characters in their past lives = craziness. Damn you PW crack chat for introducing me to that concept. >>;

I am The Hierophant

The Hierophant often represents learning with experts or knowledgeable teachers. This card also stands for institutions and their values. The Hierophant is a symbol of the need to conform to rules or fixed situations. His appearance in a reading can show that you are struggling with a force that is not innovative, free-spirited or individual. Groups can be enriching or stifling, depending on circumstances. Sometimes we need to follow a program or embrace tradition, other times, we need to trust ourselves.

[Current Music |The emptiness of the study center... woah o_o]

So, I fell off the face of the earth for a few months. Let's just forget about that little gap, eh?

I'm back(!), but no better than before. But I do come with a lecherous-looking Solid Snake icon that makes me grin ridiculously every time I see it! :D [Original comic can be found here.] Since I can't read kanji at all, I have precious little idea what they're saying, but that final frame is created from the stuff of win~ XD

...

I love this icon! X3

Anyway, many things have happened between now and the last time I decided to write. Many games have been played. Many dreams have been had. Things have appeared from the void to fill our house.

But yes, currently playing Suikoden Tactics and Gitaroo Man. While the voice acting in both drives me mad, in one the voice acting can simply be turned off (now, if only that option had been available in Suikoden IV >>;), and in the other, it has proven itself to be a source of great amusement ("Keep dodging, U-1!"). Apparantly I kick Joe and Steve's asses with my Gitaroo skills though. I managed to one-shot most of the levels. ^^

Anyway, I promised myself I wouldn't go on and on about games, so here's me stopping about games. Das Ende!

Now my confession to world: Hirohiko Araki, I love you~! No, really. :D

I've been mad on Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, as you may have read a million years ago. But, oddly enough, I'm still mad on it. Usually my obsessions will go through little phases of obsessiness, and then it'll slowly die down and out. However, as is the case with truly awesome things, the madness just doesn't end with Jojo. And rightly so, I think - the translated manga is so far up to around half-way through Jojo Part 5 (which, even if you've never read any other Jojo at all, I think you should read :D), and it just keeps getting better and bettter. You all know I loved Jojo Part 2, and Jojo Part 3 'aint the most famous part for nothing. Jojo Part 4 was absolutely hillarious in pieces, and I loved it's surrealism. And Jojo Part 5... well, it's excellent. I've grown attached to most of the characters (though especially Bucciarati, Mista and Narancia <3).

Currently, I'm trying to get my grips on the Jojo Part 5 PS2 game (with torrents, because I'm cheap >>;), but I heard that there's going to be a Jojo Part 1 game and anime out by the end of the year. Oh. My. God! Speeeeeeeedwaaaaaagoooooooooooon~! And also Zepelli. But Mr. Speedwagon~!! :D Speedwagon totally retreats cooly. And gives a running commentary on everything that's going on. And looks constantly worried. He is truly a legendary character. :D

Anyhoo, if you're going to read any manga this year, get yourself some Jojo. If you're making allowances for two manga, also read the current, up-to-date (JP wise) One Piece. The line about the 'terrible giraffe' made me laugh so hard~ X3

Gotta go now. Read Jojo!

[Current Music |Me crying at the loss of Phoenix Wright.]

... I completed Phoenix Wright last night. Now there is no more Phoenix Wright in English left to play. No more Maya. No more Larry. No more Phoenix. No more Edgeworth. TOT *wails*

Honestly, I was totally addicted to that game. It was so awesome, and the characters were all so great (but especially Edgeworth, heh ^^). There was even a mention of fine plastic sporks and 1337 speak. *sniffs* I shall miss it so very much.

Now I want to play the second game... But it's in Japanese. T_T There were three Gyakuten Saiban games on the GBA, and Phoenix Wright on the DS is the first of those, improved and with a whole extra chapter (and it's the first to be translated into English). There's a fair amount of differences between them from the parts I can understand - and trust me, I'm not understanding much. It has lots and lots of kanji. But the names are completely different, to begin with. Which is kinda sad, because I actually really like the English names and I think they suit the characters well.

But enough of my ramblings. I'm sure I shall get over my obsession with the game. With time.

... T___T

Anyway, now onto my life. Steve's been over all weekend - he took a sick day on Saturday, which is why I wasn't online then. >>; But he's pretty much been on my PC the entire time playing FFXI, so I had been playing on my XBox. Untill my XBox died. I had been really getting into FFIV and then my XBox died. So I had only my DS to play. And the final chapter of Phoenix Wright, which I had been putting off because I just didn't want to end the game. Which I played. And finished.

... *sniff*

Arg. Urrrh. Tired.

I was up pretty late last night not doing my homework and talking to an assortment of random people. Now, I pay the price of staying up till 4 am. *mumbles* Stupid Americans coming on just as I'm about to go... >>;

I have learnt now that dropping random monsters and fruity men on people is too much fun. :3 I still have the temptation to RP Augustine, even though I now know I'd be too over the top as him. And I still have the temptation to RP Mike because I could be nice and evil at the same time. Not to mention all the fun of being able to cheat everyone out of their hard earned cash, clothes, homes, sisters etc.! :D

I applied to do that fanwork Secret Santa, just so you know. I feel so incredibly sorry for the person who got my requests... *evil glee - especially over the first two requests!* XD I need to start practicing drawing the characters in the requests I got. What I'm thinking of doing is a drawing and a little fic, just so she won't be dissapointed, because my art < everyone else's art in the RP. ;_; But it will most likely be cute and fluffy, whatever it ends up being. :3 *is intentionally vague*

Oh, and Joneleth, you know you said there'd be a name in the latest chapters of Bleach that I'd recognise? I suck - I totally didn't notice at all. XD;; *is beaten - with mexican sticks!* I deleted the chapters after I skimmed through them, so could you tell me? ^^;

... Oh hell. The image of Chris marrying Abizboah and then having Rulodia turn up and object to the marriage on account that Abizboah is already married to her... well, it won't leave my brain because it's too darn funny. XD

... Don't ask. XDDD

In other random news, I am absolutely knackered. My cat woke me up around 6am in the morning, wailing like a banshee, so I got up and ran all the way downstairs to see what was up and he was being cornered in my garden by a ridiculously big black cat. ;_; I mean, this thing could probably dwarf small dogs - it was scary. I ran outside, dressed only in my pajamas (so I was barefoot), and it was below 0 and arg, my poor feet. But the black cat shat itself (not literally) upon my arrival and legged it, and my cat was saved. Yay! By the time I got back to bed, it was about 6.40am or something T_T But at least I had Steve to put my freezing feet on XD keep me warm. :3

We went and saw The Corpse Bride yesterday. It was really good, although I could see a few parallels with The Nightmare Before Christmas in there that I would have preferred to be slightly different. I thought the setting was very well done (my only gripe being that jazzy skeletons couldn't have existed at that kind of time, since the setting is very obviously during the early to mid Victorian period... *sucks* XD), and I loved the character designs. I also liked the soundtrack - I'm such a sucker for piano tunes. >>;

Steve is now considering giving up FFXI, probably because the leveling is so ridiculously slow and monotonous. This means we won't have to ask him for money every month. Mum will be pleased. His current obsession is Castlevania: Curse of Darkness, in which he must perfect every little thing. Any kind of failure results in rage and hatred for the game, but he still continues, despite the pain. ._. I don't understand it, but I don't question it. I'm too busy now that he has finally let go of my PC, after all. Oh, Baldur's Gate, how I missed you~! XD

Well, that was pretty random. o_o;

I just came out from Tutor. I'd been called to stay behind for a moment (it's always me), so I assumed I was going to get a bollocking for my attendance, as usual. Instead, she just started chatting randomly to me o_o; It appears her aim was to get me going to the maths workshops, but when I mentioned I was doing japanese on wednesday lunchtimes, she got all hyper and started going on about how she had wished to learn japanese and stuff. And she got me to write my name on the board in katakana. I hope no-one in her next class can understand that, or I'll become a hunted woman... ._.;;

But anyway, this is just another episode of my Tutor going off on a tangent and just happily chatting away. I have to wonder if all Spanish women are as completely nuts as she is... o_o;;

I've got half an hour till japanese starts (I missed it last week. I still need to grab the notes from Becky ^^;), so I'm just going to witter on here.

I started reading Death Note yesterday. Man, I so should have read it earlier, but I was just so absorbed in other things, like One Piece and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (which I'm still reading - damn you, 70+ volumes!), and it's always fun winding Jon up ^___^. It is pretty cool so far - both the story and art are awesome (altough I already knew the art was going to be good from Hikaru no Go). I will most likely read much more of it after I get home, have a shower and a nap, and then turn on Trillian so I can be poked (which I sometimes forget to do - I suck XD).

It's nice having my PC back. Since Steve works on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, he doesn't come over, and therefor he doesn't strap himself to my PC and obsessively play Guild Wars or Final Fantasy XI XD;; Those of you I RP with may already have noticed that it is these precise days when I'm actually online. This is not a coincidence XD Talking of RP though - Gremio, Watari and the SDIS? *dies* My poor, poor muse XD

While I've not had access to my PC, I've been playing on Fahrenheit (also known as Indigo Prophecy in the US). I have also completed it T_T. It is quite a brilliant game (though I must admit, the ending is a little over the top. But oh-so fun XD), and I'm glad that I played it. I had originally read that it was awesome off've OCR, so when I saw that my brother had 'aquired' it from certain sources, I demanded that everyone play it XD Steve played through it, and everyone absolutely loved it, except me, since I'd decided not to ruin the game for myself. So now I've finished it. It was so much fun! ^___^ Of all the endings I bothered to replay some parts to get, I liked the one where the Purple clan won the best. Letting Lucas win was cool and all, but not as awesome. And letting the Hobo win (well, the Orange clan) is kinda meh :/ The Cyborg for the win! :3

I'ma go now, so I'm not blinded by the sun. *le wave*

[Current Music |Phantasy Star Collection 1 - Phantasy Star 2 OST]

Ugh, I'm so tired... T_T I've been having trouble sleeping at normal times recently - I'll nap during the evening and then be awake most of the night ^^;; The only good thing to come of that is that I get to RP lots, which admittedly is quite fun, but still... Tiiiiirrrred T_T

The Steve has decided to get FFXI and play it religiously. He's still obsessed with Guild Wars, but that obsession is slowly waning as he has done quite a lot in it and is starting to find the repitition a little boring. So his new craze is FFXI. We haven't got it installed yet, and I dread having to go through those seven CDs and then let the game patch itself... >>; Honestly, I think he picked the most awkward game he could. He'll have to pay for this one monthly, plus it'll be down on patch days and such, so he won't always be able to get his fix. And the time it takes to install... T_T I would have said hard disk space was a problem, but I just got my brand spanking new 160 gig hard disk through the post yesterday :D But if I hadn't have had that little blessing, I wouldn't have been able to fit it on my PC... ._.;;

Anyway, since he's determined FFXI will be his game of choice from now on, I am thinking of mooching his account for a character of my own. Most likely one of those little things that are good at magic. I had a character on my brother's account way back wen the game first got released and made the mistake of being a female elvaan (or whatever they're called... ._.). I must say, I wasn't impressed when I equipped some 'leather trousers' because despite their name and icon, they appeared on my character model as rather skimpy pants (and yes, I mean the underwear kind for the americans reading this -_-). So yes, I imagine they won't be doing the same to the little things, hence why I'm most likely to play one this time around.

On a random tangent, I feel like playing Phantasy Star 2. Perhaps after I've gotten home, had a shower and then a good, long nap, I'll copy my game across to my XBox and get further in it :) I still feel elation with the fact that I completed the original Phantasy Star in the summer, so completing PS2 would be awesome. I'm near the end (ish) of PS3, but that game doesn't count, since it's not particularly good, and I was only playing it to get to play Sean (who is totally his own cousin... XD) out of principal for my amusement of his existance. I haven't started on PS4 at all, because I know that if I do, the others will seem a little inferior and I won't go back and complete them... which would suck >>

Ahh, I still have an hour and a bit before I get to go home and snooze. I would put up a post for Chris on the RP, but I'm waiting to finish that ancient RP with Percy before I do it so she can comment on it ;_; And I can't do a cook post because he is also tied up in an RP with Watari (which I know exactly what I'm going to name once I've got it all editted up X3)... So, yeah.

*waits patiently for home time* :3

[Current Mood | pretty fucking pissed off]
[Current Music |None]

Ugh, I am in one hell of a mood right now. Today's the day of Grandma's funeral, which is depressing in itself, yes? Now, we have two cars - one which is over 10 years old and isn't worth selling so we kept it, and the other which, while more shiny than our Proton, is about 4 years old and is a very common, low class car. There's nothing amazing about either car. They're just average family cars. So why is it only our cars that ever get vandalised?

We were supposed to be going in our Skoda (the 4 year old car) to the funeral. Mum had cleaned the car especially. However, we walked outside this morning to find that someone had grabbed a neighbour's pot plant and had bashed it repeatedly over the top of our car, filthying it, and had ripped our left wing mirror off so as to make the car completely unusable. Meaning, we can't take it to the funeral now, messy or not.

I could tell Mum was really, really upset, as was I. By the time I got to college this morning, I was in such a state inside that I had to go and find a place to let it all out and cry. Why did they have to do it today? I could have coped any other day, but to pick the day of our Grandma's funeral and to vandalise the car which we had specially cleaned for said event really, really pisses me off. And it makes me extremely depressed. But it pisses me off more. >_<

This isn't the first time our cars have been vandalised, either. Last time, they egged our old car (all over the windscreen so it was extremely hard to use the windscreen wipers and we couldn't clear the screen properly for weeks) and repeatedly jumped on the roof of the car to cave it in. Or they've got a screw and made a giant scratch up the side of one of the cars. Or they've slashed our tires (which has happened repeatedly -_-).

We don't know who it is, but I honestly hate them from the bottom of my heart. We've done nothing to any of our neighbours, or anyone living in St Denys. We don't deserve this and we can't afford this either. The only possible motive I can think of is that it could be chavs, since both my boyfriend and I wear a lot of dark, somewhat 'gothy' clothes, although I'm not a goth - I like the clothing, but nothing else about them at all... >>; Even that seems stupid though. Either way, for vandalising us today of all days, I hope they get run over by a mile long traffic jam of steam rollers. And then a huge group of school kids, just for good measure. Because I'm not petty at all... Honest! >>;

[Current Music |None]

okay, I have an assessed practical in about 10 mins. Lets see if i can get this right...

Partial oxidation of Propan-1-ol: Dil.H2SO4 + Propan-1-ol + Sodium Dichromate is distilled (air cooled) to make propan-1-al, which turns heated Benedict's solution from blue to red (well, it forms a red precipitate) as it can still be oxidised. It doesn't react with Sodium Carbonate because it's not an acid.

Complete oxidation of Propan-1-ol: Conc.H2SO4 + Propan-1-ol + excess Sodium Dichromate is refluxed (water cooled) and then distilled to make propanoic acid, which doesn't react with heated Benedict's solution (there's nothing left to oxidise) but does react with Sodium Carbonate because it's a acid - said reaction is effervescence (fizzing) of hydrogen gas.

...

Well, that looks right (though I didn't mention the apparatus or that in the midst of the solution is a few anti-bumping granules). I hope I do well... *is totally nervous* >_<;;

Anyone looking to RP with me, I should almost certainly be online Tues. afternoon (GMT) and onwards ^^ So see you then :)

[Current Music |None. My headphone busted ;_;]

Well, I haven't updated in ages, and lots of stuff has happened, sooo... Here I am ^^;

Important news comes first, I guess, though it is very depressing. My Grandma died this Saturday, just a few days after her birthday. I was really close to her - she used to look after me every day after school for a few hours while Dad was still working, and I always made sure to visit her (and my Granny) when I was on half terms etc. It's strange knowing that she's gone - I guess it won't really sink in untill I go to the funeral next week :/ But yeah... *depressed sigh*

Now for the cheerful but unimportant stuff. *is determined not to get upset*

It was Steve's birthday last week. He's now 21 :) He liked my present, but his mum was a little shocked at one of the T-shirts Mum had bought him (yes, the wanking nun one) XD; It was um... rather amusing to see her face when she saw the words on the back of the T-shirt too XD

It may as well have been Joe's birthday last week - Shadow of the Colossus came out, and we got our imported copy from Canada ^^ It was unbelievably good :O I mean, seriously. I'd say it's the best game I've seen/played all year. The brilliant animation and the sheer enormity of it all makes it quite amazing. If you have a PS2, and you're thinking of getting yourself a good game, that's the game I'd demand you purchase. Well, that and a Katamari Damacy game :3

Also on the list of games recently purchased were three DS games, bought by me, which have turned out to be a whole world of fun :) On the recommendations of the fine crazies over on the OCR, I decided to buy Phoenix Wright: Ace Attourney, Trauma Center: Under the Knife, and Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. All are brilliant games, though they're quite different from each other. Phoenix Wright takes a long time, but it's quite funny, and I've probably played it the most of the three. Trauma Center is quite difficult but rewarding (I totally removed glass from someone's heart the other day, and it only gets more scary from there XD). Dawn of Sorrow... is like an improved Aria of Sorrow, so it's all good :) But yeah, I play Phoenix Wright and Trauma Center a lot. I keep having to charge my DS when I get home from college XD;;

In other, less gaming-y news, I totally need to stop staying up so late. I was up untill about half four this morning because I wanted to finish one RP with Danie (which we still didn't finish XD;;) and then Luna came on and I couldn't resist the fluffiness that is the ninja and the cook XD I haven't been sleeping well anyway, what with current events and all, so I keep coming into college in a less than perky manner. Especially on the days I have to get up at seven am. Like today >>;; I blame you all! XD

Well, I guess it's time to go read random stuff. And perhaps do a Chris!post, which is well overdue ._.;; Oh, and for those who look at these kinds of things, today's new icon is a fanart of the third Colossus from Shadow of the Colossus. I love that game... ^___^
