| | Yawns of doom | ] | So... the Easter break is over. Joneleth goes back to Bath (well, actually to Wales to live with a family and their elephant >>;) on Friday, so it'll be the last time we see him for ages on Thursday. I have Metroid Prime: Hunters, Suikoden V, The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, and Guilty Gear X2 Slash. I also have lots of new soundtracks, all of the Blame! manga and all of Angel Sanctuary and some random shojo fluff.
The world should be good, and at peace and all that stuff, but for me right now, it isn't. Why, why did I not sleep last night?! My brain is melting quite painfully out of my ears, and my eyes are all deaded. And to think, I had my Psychology mock today... ~_~
I have this massive urge to try and write out the basic plot of my day dreams, and also to try and doodle my characters a little better. Probably by the time I get home, I'll have forgotten about it and I'll just fall asleep. That, or I'll just spend my time looking at random crap on the interweb again.
Anyway, I'ma go now. Psychology awaits etc. |

| | None :( | ] | So... I got a C in my psychology exam. While that sounds pretty bad, for me that's actually awesome, so yay!
I'm still obssessing over the Jojo. While I refuse to read VI for continuity's sake, I started on Steel Ball Run yesterday, and now seriously want someone to continue from where Ignition-One left off. Pocoloco is awesome, as is Gyro (Nyo-ho-ho is such a kick-ass laugh XD) and Sandman. :D
Steve is being forced to read Jojo 5, because I'm evil. ^^ But I'm being forced to play through Drakengard 1 (he's just got Drakengard 2), so I guess it's fair. He's currently got up to the whole Man in the Mirror vs. Fugo/Purple Haze, Abbaccio/Moody Blues, and Giorno/Gold Experience fight, so he's sorta catching up. Yay~!
Also, Joe told me yesterday that Null are translating Hana no Keiji (a manga by the guy who drew Fist of the North Star). I'm a sucker for amusing over-the-top violence (hence my fwee-ing over Jojo etc :3), so I am most pleased. Especially since Null do a really good job when it comes to translations - their scans are great quality. :)
Gotta go now. Will hopefully type tomorrow, if I'm still alive. :) |

| | Gitaroo Man music that my brain is humming | ] | So, I got home yesterday and found that not only does the Jojo Posing School have many photos of people crawling into cupboards, it also has a crap ton of fanart. Decent fanart. :O
So, as you can probably tell, I've gone a little icon happy. I'm have five Jojo icons on this journal (one for each series I've read), and a ton at home that I'll probably post some other time. So now I'm all icon'd and Jojo'd up, which makes me happy. Now all I need is some more Part 5 chapters out... ^^
In other news, the interweb scares me. People who believe that they were VG/anime characters in their past lives = craziness. Damn you PW crack chat for introducing me to that concept. >>; |

I am The Hierophant
The Hierophant often represents learning with experts or knowledgeable teachers. This card also stands for institutions and their values. The Hierophant is a symbol of the need to conform to rules or fixed situations. His appearance in a reading can show that you are struggling with a force that is not innovative, free-spirited or individual. Groups can be enriching or stifling, depending on circumstances. Sometimes we need to follow a program or embrace tradition, other times, we need to trust ourselves. For a full description of your card and other goodies, please visit LearnTarot.com

| | The emptiness of the study center... woah o_o | ] | So, I fell off the face of the earth for a few months. Let's just forget about that little gap, eh?
I'm back(!), but no better than before. But I do come with a lecherous-looking Solid Snake icon that makes me grin ridiculously every time I see it! :D [Original comic can be found here.] Since I can't read kanji at all, I have precious little idea what they're saying, but that final frame is created from the stuff of win~ XD
...
I love this icon! X3
Anyway, many things have happened between now and the last time I decided to write. Many games have been played. Many dreams have been had. Things have appeared from the void to fill our house.
But yes, currently playing Suikoden Tactics and Gitaroo Man. While the voice acting in both drives me mad, in one the voice acting can simply be turned off (now, if only that option had been available in Suikoden IV >>;), and in the other, it has proven itself to be a source of great amusement ("Keep dodging, U-1!"). Apparantly I kick Joe and Steve's asses with my Gitaroo skills though. I managed to one-shot most of the levels. ^^
Anyway, I promised myself I wouldn't go on and on about games, so here's me stopping about games. Das Ende!
Now my confession to world: Hirohiko Araki, I love you~! No, really. :D
I've been mad on Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, as you may have read a million years ago. But, oddly enough, I'm still mad on it. Usually my obsessions will go through little phases of obsessiness, and then it'll slowly die down and out. However, as is the case with truly awesome things, the madness just doesn't end with Jojo. And rightly so, I think - the translated manga is so far up to around half-way through Jojo Part 5 (which, even if you've never read any other Jojo at all, I think you should read :D), and it just keeps getting better and bettter. You all know I loved Jojo Part 2, and Jojo Part 3 'aint the most famous part for nothing. Jojo Part 4 was absolutely hillarious in pieces, and I loved it's surrealism. And Jojo Part 5... well, it's excellent. I've grown attached to most of the characters (though especially Bucciarati, Mista and Narancia <3).
Currently, I'm trying to get my grips on the Jojo Part 5 PS2 game (with torrents, because I'm cheap >>;), but I heard that there's going to be a Jojo Part 1 game and anime out by the end of the year. Oh. My. God! Speeeeeeeedwaaaaaagoooooooooooon~! And also Zepelli. But Mr. Speedwagon~!! :D Speedwagon totally retreats cooly. And gives a running commentary on everything that's going on. And looks constantly worried. He is truly a legendary character. :D
Anyhoo, if you're going to read any manga this year, get yourself some Jojo. If you're making allowances for two manga, also read the current, up-to-date (JP wise) One Piece. The line about the 'terrible giraffe' made me laugh so hard~ X3
Gotta go now. Read Jojo! |

| | A Violent Encounter - Wander and the Colossus | ] | Okay, the internet went down for a small while here, and I had some time to spend, so... I spent it on MSPaint. ^^;

I didn't have time to colour it fully, but I kinda like it. I also didn't have any references other than my memory (stupid internet down time ;_;) so there's probably a lot not quite right about it. Ah well, yay for Phoenix Wright! :3 |

| | Me crying at the loss of Phoenix Wright. | ] | ... I completed Phoenix Wright last night. Now there is no more Phoenix Wright in English left to play. No more Maya. No more Larry. No more Phoenix. No more Edgeworth. TOT *wails*
Honestly, I was totally addicted to that game. It was so awesome, and the characters were all so great (but especially Edgeworth, heh ^^). There was even a mention of fine plastic sporks and 1337 speak. *sniffs* I shall miss it so very much.
Now I want to play the second game... But it's in Japanese. T_T There were three Gyakuten Saiban games on the GBA, and Phoenix Wright on the DS is the first of those, improved and with a whole extra chapter (and it's the first to be translated into English). There's a fair amount of differences between them from the parts I can understand - and trust me, I'm not understanding much. It has lots and lots of kanji. But the names are completely different, to begin with. Which is kinda sad, because I actually really like the English names and I think they suit the characters well.
But enough of my ramblings. I'm sure I shall get over my obsession with the game. With time.
... T___T
Anyway, now onto my life. Steve's been over all weekend - he took a sick day on Saturday, which is why I wasn't online then. >>; But he's pretty much been on my PC the entire time playing FFXI, so I had been playing on my XBox. Untill my XBox died. I had been really getting into FFIV and then my XBox died. So I had only my DS to play. And the final chapter of Phoenix Wright, which I had been putting off because I just didn't want to end the game. Which I played. And finished.
... *sniff* |
